Benecor

Company

A consultancy in Dubai with three practices and one invoice

Benecor was set up to take responsibility for the technical and commercial side of a business as one job, rather than three.

The pattern we kept seeing was the same. A company with a decent product, an engineering supplier that delivered what was asked, a product person with a roadmap, and an agency spending the media budget. Each of them did their job. Between them, nothing changed: the platform stayed slow, the roadmap kept moving, and the cost of acquiring a customer kept rising.

Benecor exists to work on those three things together. We review and build software, we run product and operational risk management, and we manage paid acquisition and CRM. A client can hire one practice, but the point of the company is that the three know about each other.

We work from Dubai with clients in the UAE, the Gulf and Europe, in English and Portuguese. The team is small and senior, and we would rather turn work down than staff it badly.

What working with us looks like

A written scope and a price before anything starts

Assessments and projects at a fixed price; ongoing work at a monthly capacity reviewed every quarter.

Direct access to the people doing the work

You talk to the engineer, the product lead or the media buyer, not to someone relaying their answers.

Monthly reports in your numbers

Measured against the objectives in the proposal, including the months where something went the wrong way.

A clean handover at the end

Code, accounts, documentation and training for the people who take it on.

Why we exist

Most of the companies that call us already have a competent engineering supplier, someone in charge of the product and an agency running the ads. Each of them does their job. The business still does not move, because nobody answers for the whole. That is the gap Benecor was set up to fill.

Clients

Who we usually work with

Companies where software, product decisions and customer acquisition are all in the same profit and loss account.

E-commerce and marketplaces
Acquisition cost, conversion and platform speed affect the same margin, and are usually managed by three different people.
Subscription and SaaS
Long sales cycles, onboarding that loses people, and a retention number that decides whether the business works.
Fintech and payments
Products where controls, uptime and user experience all have to hold at once. We handle the technology and the operational risk; regulated advice stays with your licensed advisers.
Travel, hospitality and leisure
Seasonal demand, heavy paid media, and booking systems that have to survive the peak.
Consumer apps and digital services
Growth that has to be bought efficiently and a product that has to keep people once they arrive.
Companies setting up in the GCC
European and international businesses opening in Dubai that need a local team for technology, launch and acquisition without hiring one first.

Questions we get asked

Straight answers

Do you work on fixed projects or on retainer?

Both. Work with a clear scope is priced as a fixed amount. Ongoing work, such as running paid media or holding interim product leadership, is a monthly retainer with an agreed capacity and a review every quarter.

Where are you based and where do you work?

Dubai. Our clients are in the UAE, the wider Gulf and Europe, and we work in English and Portuguese. On site when it helps, remotely when it does not.

What is the smallest thing you will take on?

An assessment: two to three weeks on one problem, ending in a written report. It is the cheapest way to find out whether we are useful to you.

What does it cost?

It depends on the scope, and the scope is written down before the price is. The budget field on the contact form shows the ranges most of our work falls into.

Do you give financial or investment advice?

No. Our risk management work covers operational, product, delivery and vendor risk. Anything regulated stays with your licensed advisers.

Can you work inside our existing team?

Yes, and a lot of our work is exactly that: in your tools, your meetings and your release calendar, for a defined period.

Who owns the work?

You do. Code, documentation, campaign accounts and data produced under the contract are yours at handover.

Will you sign an NDA?

Yes. Yours or ours, before any detailed conversation.
